Restoring and respectfully expanding the grounds of an 100-year old estate is no small feat. We took care repointing the mortar in the existing garden walls as well as repairing compromised stones. The patio area restoration involved replacing and updating beautiful bluestone pavers and introducing discreet lighting to create intimate lounging areas. Custom bullnosed coping surrounds the pool and smooth white pavers keep feet feeling cool under the hot summer sun.

A romantic Italian-inspired property shines with its marble pavers and fieldstone veneer, billowy roses, and lush pool oasis. A grand entrance greets visitors with boulders, refined plantings, and an exquisite compass in-lay on the driveway. A show-stopping custom grotto gurgles and splashes for swimmers and bar-side sippers alike. Lighting was cored into the marble surround of the pool focusing on architectural interest and moody landscaping.

As an on-going project, this piece of property underwent major transformations. We started out with a design that defined sitting areas and paths.  This plan laid way to the fire-pit, bluestone patio, paver walkways, plant installations, mature tree installation (our clients named it "Dave" after one of our crew members), lighting, and partnering with an irrigation company for a lush lawn.  Separately we worked with the client on their three-season porch, deck, and its enclosed storage underneath using mahogany lattice, mahogany flooring, reclaimed timbers, and low-e glass windows. And finally, special customers get special treatment.  That meant a custom cupola and weathervane both designed and constructed by Brian.   If you ask nicely he might just fire up the plasma cutter again.

When we start with a home that has so much inherent character, we find that inspiration abounds. Probably the sexiest part of this project is the pergola, patio, and outdoor kitchen.  This space can be used most of the year and the homeowners have a beautiful view for the rest.  We created mystery by adding an ambling path around the side yard with lush plantings and lighting.  Greeting guests in the front includes an upgraded front walk, a stately mailbox bed complete with a stone wall and colorful blooms.  We also planted a beautiful bed that visually balances the homeowner's long driveway.

Freshly finished from fall of 2017, we transformed a backyard into a social gathering space and retreat by creating a gorgeous outdoor fireplace, patio area, and adding structured transitions to the homeowners deck.  This project included a shiny new outdoor kitchen, lush landscaping for a shady space, and a rustic shed for firewood.

With an already beautiful backyard, we carved out various entertaining spaces for these wonderful clients.  An outdoor kitchen, dining space and cozy sunroom take advantage of the woodland views.

This was a love-affair with brick.  The warm material upped the elegance in this stately entrance and cozy seating nook and dining space. The hefty pergola shades the space and finishes the outdoor-living vibe.

Sharp, clean lines define this modern and fresh space.  Captured in the crisp fall when the fire-pit will be used with relish, or a glass of wine.  Beautiful mahogany warms up the deck and the built-in planter.  Linear paths connect the house to its outdoor space.

Geometry and fluidity comprise this project.  It was a fusion of flowing lines and structure to create a space that encourages the homeowner to use all corners of their space.  With a patio, fire-pit, pergola, retaining walls, meandering paths, front walk, and loads of plants the only thing missing (ahem) is surround sound.
